The College Board announced Monday night that it would not factor a section of Saturday's SAT into students' scores, after mass complaints about a printing error that misinformed them about the time allotted to complete it. Some students taking the test in the U.S. were told they had 25 minutes to complete section 8 or 9, when they in reality had just 20. “We have deliberately constructed both the Reading and the Math Tests to include three equal sections with roughly the same level of difficulty," the College Board said in a statement. "If one of the three sections is jeopardized, the correlation among sections is sufficient to be able to deliver reliable scores.”
