Louisiana Chef Paul Prudhomme, most remembered for putting Cajun and Creole cuisine on the map, died on Thursday. He was 75. K-Paul's, the New Orelans restaurant he owned, said he died after a brief illness. Prudhomme was one of the nation's first celebrity chefs, attracting widespread acclaim while hosting several cooking shows and writing nine cookbooks. James Beard Award-winning chef Thomas Keller tweeted that Prudhomme will be "sorely missed."
