Indian officials say their forces killed the leader of the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba in Kashmir. Abu Qasim is considered responsible for several devastating attacks in India, including one in 2008 that killed 166 people in Mumbai. Militants have not yet confirmed the death, but the Muslim-majority Kashmir, which has a heavy Indian military presence, responded to the news with protests.
