Two Kenyans currently in police custody have confessed to helping Iranian state intelligence plot attacks on western targets in Kenya, according to Kenya’s police chief, Joseph Boinnet. Abubakar Sadiq Luow, 69, and Yassin Juma, 25, have both reportedly confessed to spying on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Quds Force, an Iranian unit The New York Times describes as “elite and secretive.”
