U.S. Stocks See Worst First Week Ever

U.S. stocks had a terrible week—their worst first week of the year in recorded history, in fact. The S&P 500 lost 6 percent this week, more than it did in the first week of 2008. The NASDAQ Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average saw respective losses of 7.3 percent and 6.2 percent.
