According to a White House report released Monday, extreme temperatures associated with climate change could lead to an additional 11,000 deaths in the summer of 2030. By 2100, that estimate would jump to 27,000. Scientists anticipate a rise in average temperature of 3 or 4 degrees Celsius by 2030.
