A scientist at the University of Pittsburgh accidentally stuck herself with a needle during a Zika experiment last month, resulting in her contracting the virus. She has reportedly recovered and returned to work after developing symptoms. Almost 700 infections, which cause birth defects in children, have been reported in the United States.
