An Alabama woman who left her baby home alone with several other children to go to a nightclub has been indicted on reckless manslaughter charges. The woman, identified as Katerra Lewis, left her 1-year-old daughter in the care of an 8-year-old boy last October when she went out with friends. The boy beat the baby to death when the infant started crying and left her in her crib, where she was discovered unresponsive the next morning, police said. The boy, whose identity has not been revealed, has been charged with murder in the juvenile court system. Lewis is accused of recklessness for leaving her daughter in unsafe conditions.
