Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is having a hard time encouraging people to work for him, according to a report. Trump, who recently admitted that he needs to hire more campaign staffers in preparation for the general election battle with Hillary Clinton, has received pushback even from those who work for politicians who have endorsed him. For example, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s senior political advisers and other top aides have reportedly declined direct and indirect offers to work on the campaign. An aide to Ted Cruz said none of their campaign staffers applied for positions within the Trump campaign after Cruz dropped his presidential bid—despite encouragement from Trump and his confidantes.
