A solar-powered plane and its two crew members completed a lap of the world Monday night, making them the first fuel-free plane to complete the journey. The Solar Impulse 2 has the wingspan of a Boeing 747, but runs entirely on solar power from its 17,000 solar cells. The record journey took nearly 118 hours.
