Officials with knowledge of the case involving a reported email hacking of the Democratic National Committee now say they believe that more than 100 party officials and groups had their private messages breached. The FBI has now broadened its investigation and informed Democratic politicians. The primary targets were the personal email accounts of Hillary Clinton’s campaign officials and party operatives. Investigators are crediting the attack to Russian hackers.
