The U.S. secretary of education ran into trouble Friday morning upon attempting to enter a D.C. middle school. As parents and retired teachers held a “vigil” at Jefferson Middle School Academy during newly confirmed Sec. Betsy DeVos’s visit, several protesters physically blocked her from entering. According to ABC7, DeVos and her entourage turned away from one particular entrance and got in their vehicle and left. It is unclear if they used another entrance, but video footage shows the tense moment as it unfolded.
