The Chibok girls who were released by the terror group Boko Haram on Saturday have returned to the Nigerian capital city, officials said on Sunday. “Welcome our girls, welcome our sisters. We are very glad that you are back, and every Nigerian today must be forgetting every other hardship and suffering, because this is a very joyous moment. Welcome, welcome, welcome,” said Alhaji Abba Kyari, the chief of staff for President Muhammadu Buhari. The 82 girls, who were generally in good condition and health, were freed in a swap on Saturday, but more than 100 girls still remain in captivity by Boko Haram. Nearly 300 girls were taken from their boarding school in 2014.
