Chelsea Handler Slams E!

With a new Netflix deal secured, comedian Chelsea Handler confessed her feelings about her old E! show Chelsea Lately at the Code/Media conference in California on Wednesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m so much smarter than the show was and I wanted to be doing a show that was smarter than I was,” Handler said while speaking onstage. The 39-year-old is set to debut a new talk show on Netflix in 2016 as well as produce standup specials. “At E! I did what I wanted and I didn’t listen to anybody because I didn’t care what they had to say because I didn’t respect their opinions,” she said. “At Netflix, I do respect their opinions. It’s like going out with a guy you’re proud to be seen with.”
