Mary Cheney and her wife, Heather Poe, took to Facebook Sunday to react to Liz Cheney’s declaration on Fox News Sunday that she believes in the traditional definition of marriage. “Liz—this isn’t just an issue where we disagree, you’re just wrong—and on the wrong side of history,” Mary Cheney wrote in a note. Heather Poe set the stage for an even more awkward Thanksgiving dinner when she commented that Liz Cheney “didn’t hesitate to tell us how happy she was for us” when the pair got married last year. Liz’s recent opposition to gay marriage could have something to do with being slammed for not being conservative enough (just remember, she’s still Dick Cheney’s daughter) in Wyoming’s senate race against Mike Enzi.
