China’s No. 1 in Clean-Energy Investment

U.S. spends half as much.

Bloomberg released its annual figures on clean-energy investments Friday, revealing that money funneled into renewables, biofuels, and “energy-smart technologies” rose 16 percent in 2014, up to $310 billion. China led the way by far, with almost $90 billion in new investments last year; the United States trailed behind with $51.8 billion.
