An official Chinese newspaper hit out at dissident lawyer Chen Guangcheng, accusing him Friday of being a “tool” for the U.S. in an attempt to undermine the Communist Party by ginning up human-rights controversies. The paper also took a swipe at Gary Locke, calling the U.S. ambassador to China a "troublemaker" and saying he has engineered problems to make China look bad. Locke was criticized again for a photo that circulated last year in China of him with a backpack on and carrying a Starbucks cup while traveling, which the Chinese saw as subversive to the U.S.
