Don’t spread rumors about Chris Christie. The New Jersey governor flatly denied turning down a request from Mitt Romney’s campaign to appear alongside the presidential candidate at a rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend. Christie claims he told Romney before Hurricane Sandy even hit that he would be unable to campaign if the storm turned out to be severe. “All this other noise is coming from know-nothing disgruntled Romney staffers who don’t like the fact that I said nice things about the president of the United States,” Christie said. Maybe there was still some lingering bad feelings after those rumors that Christie was Romney’s first choice for vice president?
