Church of Scientology Blasts ‘Gossips’

The Church of Scientology is not cool with their recent news coverage. In a statement to ABC News responding to questions over former King of Queens star Leah Remini’s defection from the church, the controversial organization lambasted their haters, claiming that “numerous myths, gossip, rumors and falsehoods regurgitated over the last few days have their origins with a small collection of obsessive fringe bloggers exploiting others to promote self-serving hateful agendas.” Remini reportedly started to distance herself from the church after being punished for asking about Shelly Miscavige, the wife of church leader David Miscavige, who has been rumored to be missing since 2007. The statement called questions about Shelly “out of line,” and said “Miscavige continues her work in the Church as she always has.” See? All cleared up.
