Cincinnati’s Bailey Throws Second No-Hitter

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey threw his second no-hitter at the Great American Ball Park against San Francisco on Tuesday night. The last time a major-league player pitched a hitless gem was September 28, 2012—and it was Bailey that time, too, making him the fourth active pitcher to throw a no-hitter not once but twice during his career. “Every dog gets his day twice, I guess,” Bailey joked during an interview after his team beat the Giants 3–0.
