Cleveland Hosts First US Face Transplant

On the heels of successful human face transplants in France and China, the Cleveland Clinic has performed the first such surgery in the United States. No juicy details here—doctors are probably trying to avoid a repeat of the rumors that surrounded the French face recipient, Isabelle Dinoire, who had been mauled by her dog after a reported sleeping pill overdose—but the Clinic will deliver more information at a press conference Wednesday.
