The State Department issued a subpoena to the Clinton Foundation last fall, also seeking records related to longtime aide Huma Abedin according to a report from The Washington Post. A representative for the foundation alleged that the foundation itself is not the focus of the probe. The inquiry focused primarily on Abedin and her relationship in various roles with Clinton including her simultaneous employment with the State Department, Clinton's foundation, Clinton's personal office and a consulting firm with ties to the Clintons.
