Clinton: No Syria Intervention

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stressed on Sunday that the United States will not intervene in Syria, despite growing violence that has killed more than 60 people. “No,” Clinton replied when asked if intervention was a possibility. “What’s been happening there the last few weeks is deeply concerning, but there’s a difference between calling out aircraft and indiscriminately strafing and bombing your own cities than police actions which, frankly, have exceeded the use of force that any of us would want to see.” Clinton said U.S. politicians believe Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is a “reformer.”
