Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got tough on Iran on Wednesday, calling a government-backed plan to set off bombs on U.S. soil a “dangerous escalation” and a “reckless act” that “undermines international norms.” She said the U.S. will begin meeting with members of the U.N. Security Council in order to discuss possible actions against Iran such as an official condemnation. Iran, meanwhile, denied the charges that it was connected with the plot, which involved two men planning to assassinate a Saudi ambassador in Washington, D.C.
