‘Close Vote’ Expected on Bernanke

Many senators undecided.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke won’t be coasting to a second term: The Senate vote to reconfirm him, originally scheduled for Friday, has been delayed and a Senate aide says a “very close” vote is expected. How close? The Huffington Post writes that half of the 26 senators it asked this morning are undecided, while four, including Barbara Boxer (D-CA), are outright “nays.” Russ Feingold (D-WI) has also said he’ll vote against Bernanke.
