First lady Melania Trump’s favorability rating has slipped by double digits, according to a new CNN poll. Her favorability now lies at 43 percent, down 11 percentage points from the 54 percent she held in October. The percentage of those who found her unfavorable also reportedly rose by 6 percentage points. The first lady’s support reportedly comes from “older, white, male Republicans and conservatives,” while her unfavorable numbers come mainly from women—particularly those who are younger and college-educated. According to CNN, she saw the biggest decrease “among liberals and white college-graduates.” The decline comes after Trump attended more events with her husband and did more television interviews, in which she has criticized the media and called herself the “most bullied person in the world.” Her favorability numbers reportedly peaked in early May at 57 percent, after her first official state dinner and her solo trip to attend former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral.
