Bennett K. Hatfield, a coal executive at the controversial Massey Energy and Arch Coal, was found dead from a gunshot wound in a West Virginia cemetery Monday. Mingo Prosecuting Attorney Teresa Maynard said the death is being investigated as a homicide. Hatfield’s wife, who passed away in 2009, is reportedly buried at that cemetery.
