The head of the Coast Guard said Tuesday that he “will not break faith” with transgender personnel, Politico reported. Speaking to a Washington think tank, Commandant Paul Zukunft said, “I told Taylor I will not turn my back,” referring to Lt. Taylor Miller, a transgender Coast Guard officer who was featured last week in The Washington Post. “We have made an investment in you and you have made an investment in the Coast Guard.”
