Stephen Colbert thanked Donald Trump for running for president and providing him with enough comedic material in a timely manner on CBS’s TheLate Show on Tuesday. “I want to thank you not only for being here but for running for president,” he told the Republican candidate. “I’m not going to say this stuff writes itself, but you certainly do deliver it on time every day.” Trump deferred when Colbert pressed him on whether he thought President Barack Obama was born in the U.S. “I don’t talk about it anymore. I talk about jobs, I talk about our veterans being horribly treated—I just don’t discuss it anymore,” he said.
