The University of New Hampshire’s president says he’s offended by a “bias-free language guide” that was developed by faculty and students to help promote sensitivity with word usage. Mark Huddleston said he’s particularly put off by the inclusion of the word “American,” which the guide states fails to be inclusive of South America. Huddleston said that the guide, which was created in 2013, is not school policy and all campus speech is “free and unfettered.”
