Colombia’s cease-fire with its FARC insurgents will end Oct. 31, said President Juan Manuel Santos. The decision will increase pressure on the government to finish a new peace deal before that date with the rebel group it has fought for more than five decades. Voters on Sunday shot down the terms of what had been seen as a landmark peace deal, which had been negotiated in Cuba over four years. The government's cease-fire has been in place since Aug. 29.
