Comedian to Be Tried for Hebdo Remarks

French comedian Dieudonné M’bala M’bala will stand trial for making comments sympathizing with one of the Paris gunmen who died last week. “Dieudonné” is one of 54 people arrested by French authorities for “condoning terrorism” or “making threats to carry out terrorist acts.” M’bala suggested in a recent Facebook post that he was sympathetic with the hostage-taker at the kosher grocery store. “Tonight, as far as I’m concerned, I feel like Charlie Coulibaly,” he wrote on Monday, which was a mix of the names of the magazine that was attacked and hostage-taker Amedy Coulibaly.
