It wasn’t too many, but it was a lot. Comedy Central co-hosted “Night of Too Many Stars,” a benefit for autism education Saturday in New York City. The evening, which funds a variety of autism-education programs around the United States, was hosted by Jon Stewart and will be broadcast Oct. 21 on Comedy Central. The highlight of the evening was her duet with an autistic girl who accompanied her on the piano for “Firework,” one of Perry’s top songs. The rendition brought the audience—and host Jon Stewart—to tears.

They teamed up to offer themselves as best friends for a night to the highest bidder in a live auction. Two women won, and for only $72,000.
In one of the more unusual bits of the night, Rogan offered to “take a pee” with the highest bidder in the house. “We’re going to make it rain,” he promised. The audience got to watch.
He appeared as the clueless male model Zoolander. Nearly nude real models were involved.

The Rage Against the Machine guitarist played the Public Enemy piece “Fight the Power” accompanied by the Whiffenpoofs, a male a capella singing group from Yale. Sample lyric: “Elvis was a hero to most/But he never meant shit to me, you see/Straight up racist that sucker was/Simple and plain.”
The comic killed with a routine questioning Steve Jobs’s and Apple’s contributions to society. “When I was a kid, nerds had shame. Now they’re walking around all proud. This is what happens when you get rid of bullying.”

The singer wrapped up the evening by auctioning off a live performance of “Roxanne” with the winning bidder’s name subbed in. Paul Reps (or is it Repps? Paul, let us know!) was the winner. He loved it.
