Condoleezza Rice Hits Golf Spectator

Apparently being secretary of State left little time for practice at the driving range. Condoleezza Rice played a memorable round of golf at Pebble Beach on Thursday, hitting a spectator in the head with an errant shot during the pro-am portion of the tournament. The golf ball struck a woman in the forehead, drawing blood. Rice quickly apologized, and her assistant took down the injured woman’s phone number. “Somebody asked me, ‘How did it compare to diplomacy?’” Rice said after her round of 18. “And I said, ‘Well, I know how to do diplomacy. I’m not so sure about the golf course.’”
