One of history’s biggest mysteries may be solved—now is it time for Americans to catch up and find Jimmy Hoffa? Archeologists in Britain said on Monday that they believe “beyond reasonable doubt” that an ancient skeleton found under a parking lot in Leicester belonged to King Richard III, who was killed in battle 500 years ago. DNA tests on the skull proved it belonged to the tyrannical king—and they said there was evidence the king had been tied down where he was buried. Around 10 wounds were found on the skeleton, including eight to the skull, and an arrowhead was found embedded in the spine. The remains were found under a city council parking lot—in a dig that archeologists recently described as a “long shot.” Richard III was described by Shakespeare as having a hunchback, and indeed the skeleton shows evidence of curvature of the spine.
