Controversial FBI Official Peter Strzok Co-Wrote Letter Reopening Clinton Email Probe

Peter Strzok, one of the two FBI officials behind the anti-Trump “secret society” texts, helped James Comey draft the letter he sent to Congress announcing the reopening of an FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, according to emails obtained by CNN. Strzok co-wrote the first draft and basis of Comey’s letter and reportedly “supported reopening the Clinton investigation,” according to a “source familiar with Strzok’s thinking.” A day after Strzok sent the draft, Comey sent the letter to Congress. In a review of his texts, Strzok seems to have had reservations about Comey going public with the letter days before the election.
