Judge Laura Taylor Swain dismissed all claims brought against Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook, Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food. The 2007 charges accused Jessica Seinfeld of stealing ideas from Lapine's cookbook The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals, which came out six months before Seinfeld's book. Lapine might appeal the dismissal of her copyright and trademark claims, and will re-file in state court defamation claims against Jerry Seinfeld, who compared the fact that Lapine uses three names to the fact that assassins sometimes use three names, naming Lee Harvey Oswald as an example. "I'm up against a very powerful opponent," Lapine said. "Justice is not always served."
