A woman has filed a $1 million claim against the city of Seattle after a patrol-car video showed an officer punching her in the face. The claim alleges that 23-year-old Miyekko Durden-Bosley was falsely arrested on June 22 and then assaulted by Officer Adley Shepherd. The video shows Shepherd punching Durden-Bosley once after she swore at him and kicked him in the jaw while she was handcuffed. The woman suffered a fractured orbital in one eye and a severe concussion, according to the claim.
