Police in Fox Lake, Illinois, confirm that an officer’s September shooting death was a “carefully staged suicide” and the “end of extensive criminal acts.” According to their findings, he was “stealing and laundering money from the Fox Lake Explorer’s Program.” In an attempt to cover up his misdeeds, Gliniewicz is said to have “intentionally left a staged trail of police equipment at the crime scene.”
