The North Miami police officer who shot unarmed black man Charles Kinsey on Monday has been identified as officer Jonathan Aledda. In a Friday press conference, police officials said Aledda had been placed on administrative leave pending their investigation. Officer Emile Hollett was also placed on unpaid leave for giving misleading information following the shooting. Video footage shows Aledda shooting Kinsey while Kinsey lays on the ground with his hands up, begging the officer not to shoot.
