Cops Drop Demand for Guardian Sources

The Guardian can relax—it won’t have to immediately fight London Police. Police dropped their order for the newspaper to reveal who its sources were for pieces about the Murdoch phone-hacking scandal. On Friday, police said they were looking into a court order demanding that The Guardian disclose who gave it information, primarily in the story about the murder of Milly Dowler.
