The mother of 14-year-old Modern Family star Ariel Winter fired back Friday with explosive claims about her daughter’s illicit affair with an 18-year-old man after she was stripped of custody of the young actress—but now cops say they aren’t buying it. According to TMZ, mom Chrystal Workman didn’t come forward about the sexual relationship until after she lost custody of Winter on Oct. 3. Winter has been placed in the care of her older sister after allegations of physical and emotional abuse were levied against Workman. Cops reportedly say Workman probably made up the story to save face.
