Federal officials said Saturday that security footage of the fiery helicopter crash in Seattle earlier this week showed that the copter took off normally, rotating counterclockwise as it lifted off from a helipad and disappeared from the camera’s view. Witnesses said the copter pitched forward before it plunged into the street, still rotating, and set several cars ablaze. The National Transportation Safety Board’s initial report did not suggest a cause for the crash, and its full report could take up to a year.
