Cricket Player Steven Davies: I'm Gay

No major American athlete has come out of the closet yet, but cricket star Steven Davies is just the latest British athlete to announce that he is gay. "I'm comfortable with who I am—and happy to say who I am in public," Davies tells the Telegraph. His openness about his sexuality is significant because Davies is thought to be an up-and-coming star; Britain’s other openly gay athlete, rugby player Gareth Thomas, is thought to be on the tail end of his career, while other athletes came out only after they retired. Davies says his teammates have supported him so far.
