A crowd gathered peacefully in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Wednesday night, holding candles and singing “This Land Is Your Land” and “This Little Light of Mine.” The vigil was held in response to the white supremacist-fueled violence that took place there over the weekend, resulting in the death of counter-protester Heather Heyer.
