One thing that has set the Supreme Court apart from other important public institutions is its intense commitment to avoiding any live broadcast of its proceedings. Because of the importance of the current hearings over the new healthcare law, the Court did concede to releasing same-day transcripts and recordings of the oral arguments, but that is not the same as having a C-Span camera in the room.
