Precocious actress will star in 'Twilight' sequel.
Fans of tween fiction, start screaming: Famously precocious teen waif Dakota Fanning will star in 'New Moon,' the 'Twilight' sequel, the movie's studio announced Sunday. Fanning is known for her serious acting chops -- at the age of eight in 2001 she became the youngest-ever SAG award nominee. The now-15-year-old star has been buzzed about for the role of antagonist vampire Jane in 'New Moon,' in part due to Dakota's well-known love of the 'Twilight' series of books. Robert Pattinson will return to the lead male role.
