Dartmouth Bans Hard Alcohol on Campus

No alcohol with a proof of 30 or higher.

xTo combat sexual assault on campus, Dartmouth College President Phil Hanlon announced Wednesday a ban on hard alcohol, a mandatory four-year sexual violence prevention and education program and a code of conduct. The hard alcohol ban will take effect with the spring term, prohibiting both the possession and consumption of hard alcohol with a proof of 30 or higher. Bartenders and bouncers will also be required for social events.
