After cementing a deal with the Liberal Democrats, Cameron showed up at Buckingham Palace to meet with the Queen before a cheering crowd. Gordon Brown resigned from the post earlier in the day. Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg will be named deputy prime minister.
