It appears David Cameron wants to declare war on the porn industry. Um, good luck? The British prime minister will propose an initiative that calls for a filter that would block porn unless users tell their internet providers they want access to it. A joint British and American task force is creating a search engine that will tackle porn websites, and Google and other search engines will be required to create a “blacklist” of the most depraved and illegal search terms. The country’s six biggest providers of WiFi at railways and Internet cafes have already signed a deal to block legal pornography where children might view it, and “family-friendly WiFi” is expected to begin at the end of August.
